THE FIFA 18 release looks set to become one of many initial games to buck the most recent trend in PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch announcements. There's lingering hope that titles like Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Call of Duty WW2 will at some point be announced for Nintendo Switch. EA's Peter Moore confirmed the news, telling Gamereactor UK that the new FIFA could be custom-built for Nintendo's console.
"Well, as we've got stated, we're custom-building a FIFA version for the Nintendo Switch," he revealed.
"It will likely be FIFA 18, and it is going to clearly be later this year when FIFA 18 comes out."
Clarifying his comments, he added: "What you have got will likely be a custom built version for the Nintendo Switch in the FIFA improvement team in Vancouver."
It's not clear, however, if this may be based around the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions, as previously rumoured. Regardless of what version it turns out to be, it's a crucial step for the new console and the gaming scene as a complete.
