The
vaporesso aurora play
is an update on Vaporesso’s original Aurora which featured a pipe like
mouthpiece and replaceable coils. The Aurora Play brings with it a
slightly more modern looking Zippo lighter format and uses refillable
pods with a shorter Delrin drip tip.
There are two pods included in the kit which have vertical C-Cell coils,
one at 1.3-Ohm for mouth-to-lung, and the other a 0.65-Ohm for
direct-to-lung.The pods have a 2ml juice capacity and come with a
press-to-fill system on the top. Vaporesso also includes a 10ml fill
bottle with a needle tip, although it’s not essential to use.
There is a small window on the side of the device so you can see your
juice level inside the pod even when the lid is closed. It also seems as
if each pod has its own designated non-adjustable airflow. The Aurora
Play is powered by Vaporesso’s Omni Board Mini and features a 650mAh
internal battery which is housed in a zinc alloy frame with a brushed
metal finish.
There’s a small fire button which can be used to power the device, and
switch it on and off, but it also has draw activation.Beneath the fire
button is a small LED indicator light to show battery status, and then a
micr-USB port for charging. The Aurora Play support 1amp charging.
The Aurora Play is available in 4 available colors – Bronze, Rainbow,
Silver, and Metallic Grey.Vapers looking for an easy to use refillable
pod system, but want something with a bit of a different style.
Especially those ex-smokers that miss playing with their Zippo lighters.
I never got to use the original, so I’m not sure how practical the
design format actually is to use. It seems like although the lighter
style lid could be useful for protecting the mouthpiece and pod when
it’s not being used, but it looks to be somewhat awkward when flipped to
the side when you are trying to vape.
