Located in the northeastern corner of Stranglethorn Vale, Zul’Gurub is
Classic’s first 20-man raid, compared to Molten Core, Blackrock Spire,
and Onyxia, which each allow for up to 40.To get more news about

A
new raid means new loot for guilds and groups to fight for, but some of
the most difficult bosses in WoW Classic up to this point will be
standing in the way.The items available on the ZG loot table are worth a
few wipes, though, because like the bosses, they’re also some of the
strongest added so far.
One of the rarest items in all of WoW
actually drops in this dungeon. Called the Swift Zulian Tiger, it looks
like a Bengal version of the Night Elf epic cat mount, and is sure to
tear at least one guild apart when it eventually drops. The mount is a
0.8% drop off of High Priest Thekal, which means it has a 1/125 chance
of appearing on the boss after you defeat him.
Divide that by the 20
people in your raid who will definitely be rolling on it, thanks in
part to the smash Netflix series Tiger King, and your chances of
actually getting the mount go down to 1/2500.
Like BWL and Onyxia,
players will also be able to apply a world buff called Spirit of
Zandalar after clearing the dungeon and handing in the Heard of Hakkar
in Booty Bay. As with the other buffs, any player in the city at the
time the heart is turned in will get the buff.
One of the biggest
competitions in WoW is finally returning as well, the Stranglethorn
Fishing Extravaganza. Players will have a set amount of time to catch
and turn in as many fish as they can, with the winner taking home a
super-rare fishing pole, gold, and other exclusive loot.
If you want
to level up an alt’s fishing skill to compete or just get to 300 before
the competition begins, be sure to check out our guide to the best
fishing spots in WoW Classic.More than a half a year following release,
WoW Classic is still plenty popular, with some servers still
experiencing wait times to login with more people than normal stuck at
home.
The added content will definitely be welcomed by players and
guilds who have already run through WoW Classic’s currently available
raids, and are itching more to do.
