How to survive in a non-native country as a student from jones051lynn's blog

Surviving in a non-native country as a student could be quite tricky. This is true especially if the student is a freshman who has never lived abroad alone. However, the overall experience would definitely be worth it.

Surviving in a new country requires students to have great social skills. In case a student lacks them, such skills can be easily developed with experience and time. Hence, students should never lose a ray of hope and should continuously try to fit in. One of the biggest challenges that non-native students face are grammar and language issues. This is exactly why they face trouble in writing lengthy essay assignments. Consequently, many non-native students log into freelancing forums and ask writers, "Please write my essay for me". This does bring them a decent essay grade, however their writing skills remain undeveloped. To counter this problem, they should practice writing passages on a daily basis. Apart from grammar issues, social adjustment is another problem and is vital to their survival. Hence, they should actively hang out with locals in order to understand their culture.

Within no time, they will be able to adapt themselves to the new environment. Surviving would then become easier than ever.
