Im preparing like Im going to play from cherry452's blog

The Vancouver Canucks currently are finding both goals and wins difficult to come by. http://www.mexiconationalshop.com/Hector-Herrera-Copa-America-Jersey/ . The club hopes to break out of its slump on Friday when it welcomes the Columbus Blue Jackets for a battle at Rogers Arena. The Canucks have lost five straight games and have scored a total of six goals during the 0-3-2 stretch. The only time Vancouver managed to score more than one goal during the slide was in its last game, a 3-2 shootout loss on Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers. The loss to the visiting Panthers dropped Vancouver to 1-0-2 so far on a six- game homestand. The Canucks are only 4-4-2 on home ice this season, but tonights opponent has had little success playing British Columbia over the years. Columbus has dropped six straight in Vancouver and hasnt won at Rogers Arena since a 5-3 decision on Oct. 5, 2009. The Canucks did lose earlier this season in Columbus, as R.J. Umberger scored the game-winner in the third period to lift the Blue Jackets to a 3-1 win. Curtis McElhinney stopped 37 shots for Columbus to earn the win, which was just the third victory for the Jackets in the past 15 encounters between the clubs. Vancouver fell behind 1-0 to the Panthers less than four minutes into the game, but the Canucks eventually held a 2-1 lead early in the third period. However, Shawn Matthias tied the game at 2-2 for Florida with 11:26 to go in regulation and Jonathan Huberdeau scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Panthers the win. Florida goaltender Tim Thomas stopped all three Vancouver attempts in the tiebreaker. Roberto Luongo put together a solid showing for Vancouver with 34 saves, but it was not enough to end Vancouvers losing streak, which is the clubs longest since an 0-5-3 skid from Jan. 9-31, 2009. "I just dont know what were thinking as far as how we start a game," Canucks head coach John Tortorella said. "I cant explain it." Including tonights contest, Vancouver has three games left on its homestand. The club will host Chicago tomorrow night before wrapping the residency Monday against Los Angeles. Columbus, meanwhile, is playing the fourth part of a five-game road trip on Friday and is 2-1-0 on the swing so far. The Blue Jackets won the opener of the trip in Ottawa by a 4-1 score before getting absolutely destroyed in a 7-0 defeat Tuesday night in Edmonton. However, Columbus was able to right itself after the lopsided loss to the Oilers, picking up a 2-1 overtime win the following night in Calgary. Nikita Nikitin scored the game-winner 2:25 into overtime to lift the Blue Jackets to the rebound victory on Wednesday. Flames goalie Reto Berra was able to stop a shot from point-blank range, but David Savard found Nikitin in front of the net and Berra was unable to recover in time as the puck crossed the goal line for the win. Nick Foligno also scored and Nikitin had an assist for the Blue Jackets. Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside 23 shots in the win. "I thought we battled," Columbus head coach Todd Richards said. "We got the win. We got two points, which is important." Bobrovsky expects to get the start tonight and is 1-0-2 with a 1.05 goals against average in four career outings against the Canucks. Luongo is 10-5-5 with a 2.11 GAA in 20 lifetime starts versus Columbus. http://www.mexiconationalshop.com/Orbelin-Pineda-Copa-America-Jersey/ . -- Adam Tambellini scored three times and set up one more as the Calgary Hitmen won their sixth in a row by crushing the host Lethbridge Hurricanes 8-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play. http://www.mexiconationalshop.com/Hector-Moreno-Copa-America-Jersey/ . A fully booked flight forced me to leave two hours later.  After a nice meal in which I studied the stats of the Argo win, I prepared to leave the restaurant. As I was gathering my things to leave many large individuals began to walk up and wait for tables.KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has a concussion and linebacker Tamba Hali has a swollen knee, and both have been ruled out for Sundays game at San Diego. The Chiefs are expected to rest most of their starters anyway against the Chargers. Kansas City is already assured the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs. The bigger question is whether Bowe and Hali will be ready for the Chiefs wild-card playoff game the following weekend. Bowe sustained a concussion when he was hit in the neck area by LaRon Landry in last weeks 23-7 loss to Indianapolis; Hali hurt his knee in the same game. Theres a possibility the Chiefs could face the Colts again in the playoffs. "Im just glad that we were on top of it," Reid said of Bowes concussion. "Thats the main thing. I dont care about anything else but getting him right. I just want to make sure hes OK." When pressed about having Bowe ready in time for the playoffs, Reid responded: "Listen, Im hoping hes right. Lets make sure hes right." Bowe had had a disappointing first season since signing a $56 million, five-year contract in the off-season. He has just 57 catches for 693 yards and five touchdowns, each of those totals his fewest in any season in which hes made more than 12 starts. Bowe also became a distraction the week before a loss to Denver when he was pulled over for speeding and arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession. Hes due in court next month. Reid said that Bowe practiced Tuesday, took Wednesday off and didnt feel right on Thursday. Trainer Rick Burkholder and the teams doctors examined him. Bowe then began going through the proscribed concussion protocol. "Well see how he does," Reid said, "but for this game hes out." Reid said that Halii is "making progress" after he came out of the Colts game with swelling in his knee, but with little to play for against San Diego, the prudent decision was to rest him and make sure hes available for the playoffs. http://www.mexiconationalshop.com/Eduardo-Herrera-Copa-America-Jersey/. . Hali missed the second half against the Chargers last month with a sprained ankle. "Tamba is listed as out for this game. Hes got a swollen knee," Reid said Friday. "He is making progress, so thats a good thing. Everybody else practiced today." That includes linebacker Justin Houston and left tackle Branden Albert. Even though the Chiefs are expected to rest most of their starters against the Chargers, Houston and Albert have missed several games with injuries and could benefit from shaking off some rust before the playoffs. Both are listed as probable for San Diego. Houston has been out with a dislocated right elbow and Albert a hyperextended left knee. "Im recovered, feeling good and ready to help this team win," Albert said. "Im preparing like Im going to play. Thats the goal, to help this team win, next week, this week, whatever." Defensive co-ordinator Bob Sutton said Thursday that Houston, who had 11 sacks in 11 games before getting hurt, appears to be "pretty confident" that hes ready to go. "Thats a big part of any injury, the player once hes cleared, he has to feel good, too," Sutton said. "Hes practiced really hard. I think obviously hes really close." When asked whether it makes sense for Houston to get some snaps before the start of the playoffs, Sutton said: "I think it would be great if he could, but I wouldnt lose a lot of sleep if he didnt. Hes a veteran player whos played a lot of snaps, so its not a huge thing." Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '
