Taiwan-based Led Panel Light packaging house, Outian Electronics, indicated the future of the LED lighting market is in China and the company will likely begin cooperation with China-based Potevio this July, according to Outian chairman Frank Liu.

Liu stated that the LED lighting markets in Europe and US have been quiet, and are not contributing much to the development of the market.

China, on the other hand, has large domestic demand and great potential for LED lighting systems. The development of indoor LED lighting has been growing rapidly, added Liu.

However, the lack of standards in consumer products such as LED light bulbs has been causing a price war among suppliers. Hence, Outian has no intention of entering the market of LED lighting for homes.

Outian will focus on large-scale projects such as lighting systems for businesses, Liu stated.
