Spirit EMS honors farmers with first-aid kits
As the nation celebrated National Farmer Appreciation Day on Oct. 12, Spirit EMS employees were out canvassing area farms to show their appreciation. To get more news about ifaks, you can visit rusuntacmed.com official website.
Earlier this week, Spirit EMS stopped at farms throughout Shelby County in the areas it services with 911 coverage including Loramie, Washington, Perry, and Salem townships. Employees provided the farmers with a card, sharing the company’s appreciation for their hard work and dedication to feed the world. They also equipped them with a first-aid kit to keep in the cab of their farm machinery in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
“As a family-owned and operated business, we’ve pledged to give back to the community,” said Brian K. Hathaway, the president and CEO of Spirit EMS. “Passing out the first-aid kits is just another way to show how much we truly care about those we serve and protect in Shelby County and areas beyond.”
Hathaway, a Future Farmers of America (FFA) alumnus himself, said the idea to give out complimentary first-aid kits came from the idea of FFA members from area chapters taking meals to farmers in the fields.
“Growing up on a family farm myself, I can remember many times, the best thing I could find to take care of my injury was a dirty old rag in the cab of the tractor,” Hathaway said. “I thought having a first-aid kit that was well equipped with supplies to take care of those minor injuries would be something useful and appreciated.”
Capt. Jeremy Miller, the manager of Spirit’s Sidney and Houston stations, said the first-aid kits that have been passed out so far this week have been appreciated by all the farmers they’ve met up with.
“Some have wondered why the ambulance was showing up when they hadn’t called for one,” Miller said with a smile. “When they saw that we had something to drop off to them, they were thankful and liked the idea. It’s an honor to work for a community-minded company that salutes these hard-working men and women for all they do for us so that we can feed the world. By giving them a first-aid kit and just saying thank you, it’s not only personally gratifying but something different our company has chosen to do.”
While the company began its distribution of kits throughout Shelby County as a start, they plan to pass out the remaining first-aid kits as they travel throughout the area they service in western Ohio and eastern Indiana this week.
Spirit EMS reminds everyone to be cautious and mindful of farm machinery on the roadway as harvest is in full swing. Likewise, they encourage farmers to stay safe as they harvest area fields and make sure, as they travel from one field to another, to have the equipment well-lighted as darkness sets in.
“As EMS providers, our mission is to promote the health, safety, and wellness of everyone through encouragement to always be thinking of personal safety first,” Hathaway said. “It’s our hope they’ll never need our first-aid kit, but they now have the assurance of knowing it’s there should the unforeseen need arise.”
Let’s Talk About (Really Good) Tech-y Sex Toys
We’ve always known tech can be sexy, but these toys take sleek lines and user friendliness to a, well, deeper level. No longer awkward, ugly, and oversized, today’s sex toys rely on calibrated yet quiet motors and effective, aesthetically pleasing designs. Most importantly, modern sex toys get us in touch with what we like, how we like it, and who we like it with. First, check out this guide to the The Science of Pleasure, then get started with some tech-y sex toys that are proven to get the job very well done. To get more news about Sex Doll, you can visit pinkkittytoys.com official website.
Powerful (or gentle) suction action comes in a small package with Unbound’s Puff. It’s a suction toy that most people will likely use as a clitoris stimulator, but it can be placed on nipples or other external zones that make your body feel good. Like all good modern sex toys, this one is waterproof, so its safe around fluids and is always ready for a session in the tub. You get three speeds, accessible with tactile up/down buttons so you can dial in your preferred sensations without looking. The Puff also gives you the most bang for a charge, running for up to three hours on a 90-minute plug-in.
Ideal for beginners, the sleek and attractive Aurora vibrator is waterproof and easy to use with a single button at the bottom that cycles through seven levels of rumbly intensity. The six-inch insertion length is geared towards those with a vulva (as it has no flared base, it’s not recommended for anal play) but the soft silicone and deep vibes feel good when placed atop just about any erogenous zone. A two hour charge gets you two hours of play time.
Building on the success of the Luvli Ditto, the Ditto 2 adds a remote-control function, adding even more fun for couples. The hands-free G-spot and clitoral stimulator can be used on its own or in combo with a partner’s penis or dildo, and the remote control works up to 30 feet away, opening up plenty of play options. It’s waterproof, rechargeable (plug it in for two hours for an hour of play), and offers 11 vibration modes from gentle flutter to deep thunder.
Proving that things that suck are actually pretty great, the Satisfyer Pro gives clitorises the sensation of (very adept) oral sex. After forming a seal with the clit, the device stays in place for hands-free action. For many users, the suction pulsations are quick to stimulate, bringing on long-lasting orgasms crazy quick. A four-hour charge gets you one hour of play.
The Halo gives a tech upgrade to the age-old cock ring. Employing seven levels of vibration, the ring goes at the base of a not-quite-hard penis to intensify sensation for both the wearer and partner. It’s most often used for penetrative vaginal or anal sex, but could also be an add-on to a low-tech dildo to bring extra pleasurable vibes. Waterproof and rechargeable, the Halo can go for two hours on a two-hour charge.
Not necessarily a sex toy, the Dripstick is a sex aid nonetheless. It was designed to help with that drip drop annoyance of semen trickling out of a vagina post-sex. For those who don’t want to hop in a shower just yet, but also don’t want to have to change the bed sheets, a simple insert and twist motion will absorb the excess ejaculate making everything a bit more comfortable. It’s probably a good idea to use it over the toilet, since it works best while seated — and people should pee after sex anyway to avoid UTIs.

Soldier Center Helmet Lab technology leads to revolutionary new combat helmet
Research performed in the Helmet Laboratory at the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, or DEVCOM, Soldier Center has led to a revolutionary new combat helmet. To get more news about Hard Armor panels, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.
Due to the Soldier Center’s Helmet Lab technology, and subsequent efforts working with key industry partners, the new combat helmets will provide the warfighter protection against a higher level threat – protection that previously could only be accomplished with a much heavier applique/helmet combination.
Researchers in the DEVCOM Soldier Center Helmet Laboratory have spent the past decade working to optimize combat helmet performance by developing new modeling, design and processing techniques. Combat helmets are comprised of flat sheets of ballistic material pre-formed into a helmet shape and then processed at a high temperature and pressure.
“Wrinkling and folds occur as the flat fabric conforms to the three-dimensional shape” said Jason Parker, a DEVCOM Soldier Center mechanical engineer. “These seams, wrinkles, and folds seriously degrade the ballistic performance, requiring more material and more mass to protect against a given threat. Through our research, we determined how these defects are introduced, how they affect ballistic performance, and how to eliminate them. The culmination of this research is a novel machine and process which produces a seamless, uniform helmet, free from defects such as folds and wrinkles.”
In 2015, the Helmet Laboratory developed a novel pre-form apparatus, process, and optimized helmet ply layup design. The Soldier Center used this technology to develop prototype helmets demonstrating breakthrough performance, providing a higher level threat protection that could previously only be achieved with the addition of a ballistic applique.
"In 2017, we tested prototype helmets targeting a higher level threat that were fabricated using our novel helmet preforming apparatus,” said Robert DiLalla, team lead of the Ballistic and Blast Protection Team in DEVCOM Soldier Center’s Soldier Protection Directorate. “The results far exceeded our expectation as we were getting stops well above the requirement and at 40 percent less weight than the current capability. The results were replicated with another batch of prototype helmets confirming that we had developed a new capability to significantly increase Soldier protection.”
Since 2017, the Helmet Laboratory, at the request of senior Army leadership, continued to mature and transition the technology to industry partners by establishing several Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, or CRADAs, and Research & Development contracts.
“After the Helmet Lab first demonstrated this breakthrough performance, the team worked diligently with our industry partners to rapidly transition this technology and contribute to the advancement from laboratory prototype to production ready helmets,” said David Colanto, PhD, who is the program manager for DEVCOM Soldier Center’s Integrated Multi-Threat Headborne System. “The collaborative effort with industry represents a successful technology transition and highlights the fact that Soldier Center applied research and technology demonstration efforts are critical to providing significant improvements to warfighter protection.”
In February 2021, Gentex Corporation announced that one of their Ops-Core® FAST Helmet Systems passed U.S. Government First Article Testing (FAT), a first for a helmet providing a higher level threat protection. This new helmet leverages helmet design and processing innovations transitioned through a CRADA with the DEVCOM Soldier Center's Helmet Lab.
“This new FAST helmet is the culmination of a multi-year commitment to innovate the novel production processes necessary to manufacture helmets with next-generation ballistic materials,” said Des Walsh, vice president of Advanced Research and Development for Gentex Corporation. “It serves as an excellent example of successful, outcome-oriented government-industry collaborative development, resulting in the most advanced ballistically protective helmet shell ever qualified for production by Gentex and available to the warfighter.”
China’s business confidence falls to lowest since January
Beijing (China), December 21 (ANI): A survey of sales managers showed that China’s business confidence fell to its lowest since January 2013, reflecting the impact of surging Covid-19 cases on economic activity with the abrupt lifting of many pandemic control measures. To get more china business market news, you can visit shine news official website.
Survey results were among the first indicators of how business sentiment has taken a hit in the world’s second-biggest economy, after the sharp relaxation of strict Covid containment measures on December 7 triggered a still-growing wave of domestic Covid cases across China. The World Economics’ survey was done on sales managers at over 2,300 companies and was conducted between December 1 and 16 this year.
China’s gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to grow just 3 per cent this year, its worst performance in nearly half a century, the survey said.
“The survey suggests strongly that the growth rate of the Chinese economy has slowed quite dramatically, and may be heading for recession in 2023,” World Economics said on Monday.
The survey showed business activity fell sharply in December with the sales managers’ indexes in manufacturing and service sectors both below the 50 level.
The London-based data provider said, “The percentage of companies that claim to be currently negatively impacted by Covid has risen to a survey high, with more than half of all respondents now suggesting their operations are being harmed in one way or another.”
According to World Economics, China has recently dismantled some key parts of the world’s toughest anti-Covid curbs and lockdowns. It said the measures were championed by President Xi Jinping but impaired the economy and sparked popular protests unprecedented in his decade-long rule.
The survey said the top leaders and policymakers would focus on stabilising the economy in 2023 and step up policy adjustments to ensure key targets are hit, according to an agenda-setting meeting ended on Friday. (ANI)
Chinese Alphabet From A To Z Description
The Chinese Alphabet, known as “Pinyin,” is the standard phonetic alphabet used in China. Pinyin uses all of the same Latin letters as the English alphabet except instead of “v” it uses “ ü.” A word of caution though - not every letter in Pinyin is pronounced the same way as the equivalent letter in the English alphabet! The chart above shows the initial and final sound combinations used in Pinyin. To get more news about china alphabet, you can visit shine news official website.
Chinese characters have existed for thousands of years. The earliest characters, or pictograms, often looked very similar to the items they represented. These characters eventually morphed into the less-pictographic logograms used today which often consist of phono-semantic compounds
Pinyin, on the other hand, is a fairly recent development. China adopted the current form of Pinyin in 1958. Foreigners, however, began developing their own forms of phonetic alphabets for Chinese as early as the turn of the 17th century.
The earliest known phonic alphabet was developed in the early 1600’s by a French missionary named Nicolas Trigault. He understood the Chinese language very well and in 1926 included his version of “Pinyin” in his book “Aid to the Eyes and Ears of Western Literati”
The Chinese government enlisted the help of various Chinese linguists in the 1950s to develop a more sophisticated phonic alphabet. The first version of this alphabet, which is now known as Pinyin, was published in 1958. It has been revised several times and is now used throughout schools in China as a tool to help students learn characters. It is also used in most other countries for the same reason.
How many Chinese characters and alphabet letters are there?
Chinese characters and the Pinyin alphabet are two separate and distinctive writing systems. There are over 50,000 Chinese characters in use and 26 letters in the Pinyin alphabet. These letters are used to create the 23 initial and 24 final sounds shown above.
What Is The Logic Of Chinese Characters?
While it may seem like all chinese characters are simply pictographs (characters derived from pictures), there are actually many types of characters - the least common of which is pictographs.
1. Pictographs ( xiàng xíng)
There are relatively few characters in use today which are considered pictographs. These are typically among the oldest Chinese characters still in use. The chart below shows some of the most common pictographic characters used today and how they have changed over time.
2. Determinative-Phonetic Characters (, xíngshēng)
These characters consist of two parts. One represents the sound, while the other indicates its meaning. Consider the following examples which all include the phonetic component 青 (qīng).
3. Ideographs (, zhǐ shì)
These are characters that express more abstract ideas with symbolic pictographs. These are a few common examples:
4. Combined Ideographs ( huìyì)
These are characters which consist of multiple pictographs or ideographs whose combined meaning alludes to the meaning of the new character. Here is a common example :
5. Transfer Characters (zhuǎnzhù)
These are characters which have the same meaning now due to sharing the same radical, having similar etymology, or a semantic drift. For example, the words 爸 (bà) and 父 (fù) share the 父 (fù) radical and both mean “father.” Another example are the words (kǎo) and (lǎo) which both mean “old.” These two characters were once the same character and together meant “elderly person.” They have since been separated and are both individually used to mean “old”.
Tesla to Add WiFi Garage Door Support in Upcoming Holiday Update
Christmas is almost here, so Tesla’s holiday update will soon be here. While many are still guessing what may be under the tree in this update, we now have word that Tesla will include support for MyQ accessories. To get more news about safe lock systems, you can visit securamsys.com official website.
MyQ lets you control supported garage doors, gates and lights over WiFi. Until now, users could only control MyQ devices from their smartphones, but Tesla is adding support for it to their vehicles.
Tesla Rumors Start Small
who is also the President and Founder of the Tesla Owners Club of Michigan, posted: Looks like MyQ support is coming to Tesla vehicles with software update 2022.44.25 :) I don't have any more detail than that.
If MyQ is indeed included in the holiday update, it will not only allow users to open or close their garage from the screen in the Tesla. MyQ also tells users if the garage is left open, it can control lights, access cameras, lock and unlock doors and use home intercoms. MyQ can also be scheduled to automatically close the garage every night at a certain time. The MyQ system is much more than a garage door opener.
MyQ is Considered the Best Garage Door Control
So why would this be better than HomeLink? That was a question repeated several times. MyQ is WiFi based so you can check in on it anywhere. There is also no need for the antenna. HomeLink is included with the Model S and Model X, but it's a $350 USD add-on for the Model 3 and Y.
Add MyQ Support to Existing Garage Doors
If you have an older garage door opener but still want to get in on MyQ, there is a MyQ device that, according to the company, makes any garage door opener a smart garage door opener. These are available at various retailers including Amazon, for roughly $20.
Integration
Tesla's integration of HomeLink into their vehicles is beautifully executed. You can have the vehicle automatically open or close your garage as you approach, never needing to touch a button. The vehicle uses your garage door's location and the vehicle's current position to determine when to open or close your garage door.
It's not clear whether Tesla will similarly integrate MyQ devices, but it certainly would make sense to have the ability to automatically trigger specific devices based on the vehicle's location. It could potentially open your garage door and turn on your hallway lights as you begin driving down your driveway.
Advantages Over HomeLink
MyQ support could have several advantages over HomeLink, besides being included for free. HomeLink currently requires proximity to the device to send the wireless signal, while MyQ could theoretically be executed anywhere in the world that has an internet connection.

Fat or thin tires
Choosing between fat or thin tires on your new electric bike is a matter of personal preference. However, there are some benefits to either of these types of wheels.
Typically, fat tires are larger and provide better traction on both wet and dry surfaces. They also have an extra wide contact surface, which helps them get a solid grip on slippery or sloping terrain.
On the other hand, thin tires are lighter and more efficient. They are made from a smaller amount of rubber, which is why they are more cost effective to manufacture. Aside from their lightweight nature, they also have a less pronounced impact on your overall mileage.
While thin tires are less expensive and easier to ship, they don’t quite have the same traction as fat ones. The best way to judge which is the better tire for your riding style is to experiment with different air pressures.
Generally, a medium to high PSI is recommended for riding on pavement and loose snow. A lower PSI is ideal for riding on mud and gravel.

eBike Maintenance 101: How to Take Care of My E-Bike
Everyone knows that for things to last a long time, you need to take proper care of them - your electric bike is no exception. To get more news about ebike maintaince, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
Your ebike, like anything else, needs proper care, thorough cleaning, and regular maintenance.
Cleaning and taking care of it regularly will keep it performing well, efficiently, and safely for a very long time - all of which can contribute to a longer lifespan for the battery and motor. To get more news about Fat Tire Electric Bikes, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
This guide goes through the exact steps of how to take care and look after your ebike, including tips and tricks on how to wash it, lubricate it, and take care of the battery.
How often should I service my electric bike?
Just like with any other means of transportation, the frequency of how often should you do checkups and servicing depends mostly on how often do you use it and how intensely.
Generally speaking, under normal circumstances, electric bikes which are used on a daily basis need routine checkup servicing once per year.
If you feel like you use your e-bike more often and it’s more of hard usage, you might want to do a checkup every 6 months or so.
We think it’s a good idea to give your e-bike a checkup once a year to ensure it's in working order. Otherwise, any potential issues may make themselves known once you start riding it through town, down the trail, or, worse yet, on your way to the beach (and who wants that?)..
Generally, you can maintain your bike chain at home by making sure its clean after using your ebike and keeping it lubricated with special gels and oils.
If you have a belt-drive electric bike (an alternative transmission system found on many newer ebikes), this would not be necessary.
First, we do not recommend using just the standard WD40 alone, because it is a penetrant, not a lubricant, and will dry out the chain. Instead, you should clean your chain with standard WD40, but you should also use a product like Tri-Flow, or the WD40 chain lubricant afterward, to make sure the chain is properly lubed too, not only cleaned.
How can I know when it’s done properly?
A properly lubed chain should not be dry when you touch it, but instead, it should be a little greasy - however, make sure not to over-lubricate it to the point where it is dripping lube. A properly lubricated chain will prevent rust and assist the movement of metal-on-metal parts.
If the derailleur is making noises, then the cable used to shift gears may require an adjustment, which, depending on the type of setup you have, may either be made at the derailleur or at the gear shifter at the handlebar mount - if you’re not familiar with it, we recommend going to your local bike shop, they’ll be able to help!
