Body armor bans come to the forefront

Calls for new gun restrictions inevitably follow most American mass shootings, including the one that killed 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket six weeks ago. But in the wake of the Tops supermarket massacre, legislators in several states also have turned their attention to a new target: civilian body armor. To get more news about camouflage bulletproof vest, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.

Such equipment—including helmets, bulletproof vests and armor plates—is designed to protect soldiers and law enforcement officers in the line of duty. Until recently, however, no state but Connecticut had restricted how ordinary citizens buy and sell military-grade tactical gear. The armor has, critics say, empowered violent criminals—including mass shooters—to return fire at law enforcement and extend their rampages.

Over the past 20 years, sales of body armor—like sales of guns and ammunition—have grown steadily among the general population, said Aaron Westrick, a professor of criminal justice at Lake Superior State University who has worked extensively with body armor companies and law enforcement. That has complicated some procedures for police officers, who now must train to shoot around body armor, and alarmed some lawmakers and advocates, who question why so many Americans now own tactical gear intended for combat.

In Buffalo, a bulletproof vest allowed the accused 18-year-old gunman to continue his attack even after being shot by a store security guard, retired police officer Aaron Salter Jr. Salter was among those killed. According to the Violence Project, a nonpartisan research center, 21 mass shooters in the past 40 years have worn body armor.

“The shooter in Uvalde had it, in Buffalo, in Aurora, in Boulder, in Sutherland Springs,” New Jersey state Sen. Joseph Cryan, a Democrat and former county sheriff, said of the Tops shooting and other massacres in Texas and Colorado. Cryan’s proposed civilian body armor ban is in committee. “Why do we have to wait for another one?”
Lawmakers have attempted to regulate body armor before, but without much success. In 2019, Democratic U.S. lawmakers in the House and Senate proposed two separate, federal body armor bills that never made it to a vote. New York state also has repeatedly considered, but never adopted, a proposal to create a central registry of body armor sales and distributors.

This time, however, proponents have been bolstered by the back-to-back tragedies in Buffalo and Uvalde, Texas, where both gunmen wore some type of tactical gear. In Buffalo, a set of law enforcement-grade hard armor plates saved the shooter from a bullet that police say might have ended his attack much earlier. In Uvalde, the gunman wore a plate carrier vest without its bulletproof inserts—a nonprotective get-up that some legislators have nonetheless said illustrates the threat of mass shooters and body armor.

n addition to Uvalde and Buffalo, shooters recently wore bulletproof vests during the 2015 attack on a county Christmas party in San Bernardino, California, that killed 14 people; the 2017 attack on the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, that killed 26; and the 2019 attack outside a Dayton, Ohio, bar that killed nine.

How Long Do E-bike Batteries Last?

Determining the battery life of an e-Bike is not only calculated on the number of cycle charges they can take before they gradually go on flat. There are a lot of factors to consider in knowing the life span of a battery. To get more news about how long do ebike battery last, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Some of these factors would be the surrounding conditions like temperature fluctuations, age of the battery, etc. Also, the type of battery being used is to be considered.
What is the average battery life of an e-Bike?
On average, a typical electronic bike battery can surpass 800 full charge cycles. It can sometimes go up to a thousand charge cycles depending on the type of battery used.

Now, we need to understand that charging the battery from 30% – 100% is not a “one full charge cycle”. We must keep in mind that we can only count it as “one charge cycle” if the battery was at 0% – 100%.

In general, if we consider the type of battery being used, the battery’s age, and how often the battery was charged, we can safely say that batteries on e-Bikes can last anywhere from 3 – 5 years.
3 Types of e-Bike batteries
1. Lithium Batteries
It is the most reliable battery used on e-Bikes. More than 90% of e-Bike batteries in the market are composed of lithium. These batteries can generate more power, lasts longer, and is lighter than the other batteries. Because of this, it also is the most expensive among the three.

2. Nickel Batteries
It has the same power in comparison to lithium-ion batteries. Unfortunately, nickel batteries have high tendencies to self-discharge faster than the other ones on this list.

– Average charge cycle before it needs replacing: around 500 charge cycle

Nickel-cadmium (NiCd) – rare to find these days as they became a toxic pollutant to the environment, these batteries are very hard to recycle. More capacity than lead-acid batteries.
Nickel-metal Hydride (NiMh) – more efficient than NiCd but it costs more. These batteries are easier to recycle and tend to last longer.
3. Lead Batteries
This type of battery is the oldest among lithium and nickel. While it is the cheapest you can find in the market right now, it has a few drawbacks. Lead-acid batteries are heavy. It is five times heavier than lithium-ion batteries. Aside from this, it has a short life span in comparison to the other two. It’s not good to purchase lead-acid batteries if you are going to use your e-Bike regularly.
What Happens When it Reaches its Maximum Charge Cycles?
The maximum charge cycle of the battery is the manufacturer’s theoretical estimate before the battery loses its efficiency.

When the battery reaches the specified number of charge cycles, you’ll eventually start noticing a decrease in performance. Fluctuation in voltages and lack of power are apparent signs that your battery’s life is coming to an end.

In addition, if you have noticed yourself recharging your bike’s battery more frequently if the battery can’t hold its charge for a longer period, then yes, the battery needs to be replaced.

While it’s true that you can use your e-Bike without the battery, it is not convenient for everyday use. E-Bikes are heavier than normal bikes. Also, it will never be an excellent choice for older people who require a special level of assistance to ride their e-Bikes with a dead battery.

Depending on how you use your bike, it’s up to you to decide whether a battery replacement is essential or if you can get by without it.

Tiger Eye Helmet-Mounted Bicycle Mirror, Part II

This review piggybacks on Rance’s review, as his review is quite thorough and covers most of the relevant mechanical and operational considerations of the Tiger Eye helmet-mounted bicycle mirror. To get more news about ebike mirrors, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

I tested the Tiger Eye “Patriot” model, which has a partial American flag logo on the non-reflective side of the mirror. The logo is coated in a glossy finish, which should add to its longevity. It’s a classy touch for most applications, but as Rance noted, for night operations, reflective materials of any sort, retro- or glossy, can be a disadvantage unless properly managed, and I don’t want to have to remember to pivot my helmet mirror to stay stealthy. Tiger Eye doesn’t appear to offer this with a matte non-reflective finish on the non-mirrored side. Anyone with similar concerns likely already has a rattle can of matte black or clear and can sort this out themselves.

The Tiger Eye mirror is the second helmet mounted mirror I have used. The first was the Bike Peddler’s “Take A Look” mirror, a rectangular mirror on a straight wire that affixes to the helmet using a tensioned bend in the rear part of the wire. The Tiger Eye mirror is definitely the stouter of the two, and I appreciated that Tiger Eye’s installation instructions encouraged the user to “twist” and “squeeze” the wire to find a good orientation, as the Take a Look mirror always felt a little delicate.

The Tiger Eye mirror, however, pivots along its wire spoke, whereas the Take a Look mirror is fixed and orientation is achieved by realigning the entire mirror assembly. Unlike the Take a Look mirror, which was more involved on initial set up but never lost its alignment, because of this pivot point the Tiger Eye mirror is more prone to requiring realignment between uses than is the Take a Look. This only takes a few seconds each time you mount up, but is worth mentioning when comparing helmet-mounted mirror solutions.

The Tiger Eye installation instructions on the back of the packaging suggest installing the mirror “slightly higher than your forward line of vision”. My experience suggests that this should be just-ever-so-slightly higher, as any higher required me to divert attention from and then spend time reacquiring my normal scanning pattern. If in doubt, watch the installation video.

I typically ride with a skateboard-style Protec helmet, which has a hard poly shell covering a foam liner, and have always had difficulty mounting the Take a Look mirror on it. The Tiger Eye wire gauge was thicker and allowed me to simply wedge the wire clip between the hardshell and the foam liner. This resulted in a very secure fit and allowed for easy adjustment by simply sliding the wedge point forward and back between the shell until proper coverage was achieved, giving the Tiger Eye a real edge in terms of mounting simplicity.

I agree with Rance that the real benefit of a mirror like the Tiger Eye is that you can increase your situational awareness without having to constantly look over your shoulder, and that it shouldn’t take the place of a rear scan.

Even though I never got a chance to test the Tiger Eye mirror using a visor for damping, it provided a sufficiently stable rearward view for me to achieve this goal of increased awareness, which is the point. Furthermore, the Tiger Eye helmet mounted mirror has some real functional advantages over other helmet-mounted mirror options, and as such is worth considering for patrol work.

favorite bike locks to discourage thieves

Owning a bike lock is an important part of anyone's cycling kit. Though it's not as vital as a helmet, a reliable bike lock does provide immense peace of mind that your bike stays secure wherever you leave it. To get more news about ebike lock, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

And while there's no end-all-be-all bike lock capable of deterring a well-equipped thief, there are a number of options designed to slow down or discourage them.

Having lived and biked in the cycling-heavy cities of Portland, Oregon, and New York City, I've handled my fair share of locks. And with bike thefts on the rise here in NYC, I know all too well how important they are. Be it mountain bike trips, e-bike outings, or casual rides around my neighborhood, I've tested a variety of locks designed to secure whatever I'm pedaling.

Below are my six favorites, each of which I've grown to trust to keep my bike safe and secure whenever I lock it up. Along with the picks, I've also included insight into how I test bike locks at the end of this guide.
Best bike lock overall
Kryptonite is the top name in the bike lock industry. That's why we've included two of its locks in our guide. One of the factors that set Kryptonite apart is its Anti-Theft Protection Offer.

When you get your lock, you must register it with the company right away. Then, if your bike is stolen while it is covered by anti-theft protection, the company will pay to replace your bike. For the Fahgettaboudit Mini, the first year of registration is free. After that, it is $24.99 for five years of coverage.
Best budget bike lock
The Titanker Bike Lock Cable is made of flexible steel cables that measure a half-inch in diameter. The 4-foot cable is covered with PVC coating and recoils back into its original shape when not in use. The four-digit combination lock has 10,000 possible passcodes. This lock is the lightest option in this guide at 11.2 ounces, and it mounts to your bike with the provided bracket.

The cable design offers flexibility in what you can lock a bike to, and the combination key is also convenient. While a lock is a good deterrent in general, this option doesn't offer the level of protection as the other locks on this list. Still, the thick cable should deter most thieves.
Best D-lock bike lock
Hiplok is one of the who's who in the bike lock industry (we've written about, and loved, its Z-Lok) thanks to its wide selection of dependable products. With the DX, Hiplok not only offers one of the most heavy-duty D-locks on the market, but it challenges the Kryptonite lock that nabbed our top spot.

What makes the DX particularly stand out is its rugged and durable design, led by a double deadlock and 14mm hardened steel shackle that would take nothing short of a tank to break through it. This means you should feel comfortable locking up your bike anywhere and can rest assured it'll be there waiting for you when you're reading to ride again.
Best U-lock bike lock
The design of the Kryptolok Standard Bicycle U-Lock is fairly similar to the Kryptonite locks we covered in previous slides. It has a center keyway, high-security disc-style cylinder, reinforced hardened crossbar, and a hardened MAX-Performance steel shackle. However, there are some key differences. The shackle is 13 millimeters thick, the U-lock is 4 x 9 inches, and there is not a double locking mechanism.

Best quick-use bike lock
Though Hiplok's Z-Lok looks like some sort of beefed-up zip tie (it essentially is), it's still a highly useful bike lock. Perfect for locking up your bike in a pinch, say, while running some quick errands or popping into a store, the Z-Lok is a great companion to a larger, more robust bike lock.

What makes the Z-Lok particularly stand out is how easy it is to use. When first using it, it allows you to set a custom combination code, and then using it to lock up your bike is as easy as tightening a zip tie. Just slide the lock through wherever you want to secure your bike, feed the end of the lock through the locking mechanism, and tighten. Unlocking it is just as easy as you only need to put in your set combo and then slide the unlock button to fully loosen it.
Best on-bike bike lock
We've all been there: You're getting ready for a ride, you've packed a backpack, grab your helmet, and jet out the door. As you get to your destination, you realize it; you forgot your bike lock. Now, you're left with a decision, do you leave the bike there and quickly run inside to get what you need, or do you ride back home? With the Lobster Lock, those forgetful moments cease to exist.

Thanks to a design that allows you to permanently attach it to your bike's frame, the Lobster Lock goes wherever your bike goes, all day, every day. By attaching to where you'd put a water bottle cradle, the lock is able to stay out of the way enough to avoid hindering you as you ride, yet is perfect for attaching to a bike rack (including through your wheel, too).

Beware of Electric Bike Online Review Sites:

First a word on the many online Fat Tire Electric Bike Review sites and YouTube E-Bike review videos. While these sites may look legit and impartial, many are affiliate sites for specific brands of Electric Bikes. This means that they are getting paid for advertising the manufacturer’s E-Bikes, or are getting paid for the leads generated from their click-throughs to that specific manufacturer’s website. To get more news about ebike for sale, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Electrek.co used to publish valuable information on the Electric Bike industry. But now it just seems like they care more about the advertising revenue generated from their sponsors.

In June 2020, they published an article entitled: The Truth: How far can an electric bicycle really go on a single charge? Which detailed the math on how to determine Distance per Charge using the correct factors, specifically the E-Bike’s components. Yet many of their advertisers are allowed to post ads with incredibly false claims that can’t possibly be realistic based on the bike’s components. This deception does our industry a big disservice especially when a customer gets their E-Bike and tests it and its performance doesn’t match the manufacturers’ claims.

At that E-Bike Guy, we are determined to educate an Electric Bike consumer on all the facts so they can make an informative decision on which E-Bike will be the best for that consumer’s specific needs.
None of the Lectric Electric Bikes have a range of 100+ miles as claimed. They are only 20ah max with math 20ah X 48v = 960 Watt-Hours; divided by 25 = 40 miles max. Don’t buy this if you can’t pedal more the 50 miles worth on your own. In our opinion, if you want an E-Bike, you don’t want to pedal that far.
Hard To Pedal Electric Bike
The main disadvantage of fat tire e-bikes is that they are difficult to pedal, especially on flat surfaces where the entire tire is in consistent contact with the ground. The more tires that are in contact with the ground, the more resistance you will face when pedaling. The electric motor can really reduce or even completely eliminate this problem, but if your battery is low and you're exhausted, and you can't charge it, you might be in for some trouble.

Expensive Electric Bike
Fat tires are more expensive than regular tires because fat tires require special parts such as wheels, rims, tubes, etc. Fat tire bikes also usually don't have a suspension system because the tire acts as its own shock absorber, and if you need a suspension system, it's going to be more expensive.

Electric Bikes That Are Hard To Repair
You can be tricky when parts on a fat tire e-bike break or need to be replaced, as fat tire e-bike parts are more expensive and harder to obtain than skinny tire e-bike parts. While they are growing in popularity, thin tire e-bike parts are easier to find at low cost. But in contrast, fat tire bikes are not easy to break.

Conclusion
E-bikes have fat tires because they can handle slick terrain and sandy beaches. Fat tires are more comfortable when riding over bumps because they absorb rough terrain better. These 4” thick tires can also burn more fat since you pedal harder, with the thick treads also building balance and traction. The sheer thickness of fat tires over skinny tires makes them very durable.

Best Rat Traps

Once you realize you have a rat problem, spring into action! Here are the top things to consider when deciding which rat trap will fit your situation and sensibility:To get more news about Rat Trap, you can visit senpinghz.com official website.

Making a homemade rat trap is simple. You can construct a basic trap with a five-gallon bucket.

Make a ramp with a piece of wood or PVC and attach it to the lip of the bucket. Pour a few tablespoons of vegetable oil on the bottom of the bucket, and add a dollop of peanut butter at the bottom. (Be careful not to get any “bait” on the sides of the bucket.) Rats will climb up the ramp and jump down for dinner, but can’t climb back out because of the bucket’s slick surface.

While solving one problem, it creates another: Disposing of a bucket of live rats. You’ll need to take them to a remote location and let them go, or euthanize them. If neither appeals to you (understandable), best to let a pro exterminator tackle your rat problem.
Made of galvanized steel and simple to set up, the Havahart (get it!) One-Door Animal Trap with smooth internal edges won’t injure trapped rats. They’ll be humanely caught and confined them until they can be returned safely to the wild, hopefully far from your home.

Catching and killing rats can be unpleasant, no matter how you do it. With the Victor Smart-Kill Electronic Rat Trap, you just download the Victor Pest app and get alerts on your smartphone the minute you’ve made a snare. Once the rat is inside the trap, a high-voltage electric shock humanely kills it instantly — no slow-acting poison to torture the animal.

Victor’s classic Wood Snap Rat Trap is easy to work, surprisingly effective and costs around $14 for a pack of four. It features an expanded yellow plastic trip pedal to ensnare big rats.

It comes with two settings: firm and sensitive. Once you’ve caught the rat, you can throw away the entire trap, or discard the rat and reuse the trap.
Rats often run in a pack (called a mischief!), so why try to catch them one at a time when you can corral a whole slew of them at once?

The Ugged Rugged Ranch Ratinator is big enough to quickly wrangle up to 21 rats in one fell swoop. Another humane live trap, it’s really more like an animal cage. The Ratinator measures a hefty 16-1/2-in. wide by 26-1/2-in. long and six inches high. It weighs only nine pounds, sans varmint.
The eXuby Large Powerful Rat Traps (four pack) captures and kills the heftiest rats (roof and Norway) instantly. With razor-sharp jaws and powerful springs, it comes down on prey with 40 percent more force than standard mousetraps.

Put bait (peanut butter, nuts, dried fruit or berries) in the cup at the bottom of the trap. Then set it and place it anywhere — in the attic, under furniture, along baseboards or in the garage. When you’ve trapped a rat, just press the release button, drop the dead rat into the garbage and wash the trap out with soap and water to use again.
Blending into the landscape, Protecta Landscape Rat/Mice Bait Stations look like granite boulders — no more rat trap eyesores strewn around the yard.

Made of heavy-duty plastic to withstand UV rays, the station can be anchored to the ground with stakes for extra security. Each station holds eight bait blocks and has a one-piece inner liner for easy clean-up.
A rodent infestation is bad enough. You don’t need to worry about your kids and pets getting into rat poison or injuring little fingers and paws on top of it. The DoomBox Better Mouse Trap is a pet- and child-resistant “clear” solution you can feel good about.

A patented “Click-It” closure is easy for adults to open but not for kids, dogs and cats. The see-through housing and two-hole entryway give rats the impression that they can enter, dine and leave, but there’s no way out. That’s when the “SmackDown” strike bar takes care of the rat.

QUESTIONING SOFT BODY ARMOR

School safety is perpetually in the news. Over the last year or so, we’ve seen an increasing number of news stories heralding soft body armor. These usually include items such as “bulletproof hoodies,” backpacks, or other bullet-resistant personal protection items for school children. Some of these pieces have been fairly skeptical—even quite critical. To get more news about bulletproof level 4, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.

What all of this news coverage lacks is a detailed look at the strengths and limitations of soft body armor. Soft body armor (i.e., “bulletproof vests”) are undeniably lifesavers, with a solid track record in the field. That said, they’re designed for fairly specific applications. They do not magically stop all bullets or prevent all damage. And, most concerning, they may perform worst when faced with the threats most common in a school shooting.

First and foremost, nothing is truly 100% bulletproof. With enough bullets and enough time, every barrier fails. Although people say “bulletproof vest” and “bulletproof hoodie,” these are more accurately called “bullet-resistant soft body armor.”

Soft body armor has interwoven layers of tough synthetic fibers to catch bullets. It’s similar to how the netting around a batting cage stops baseballs.

Experts estimate that about 80% of all firearm murders are committed using handguns. As a result, people facing generalized threats (like politicians, celebrities, and police officers) often opt to wear a “bulletproof vests” designed to stop all sorts of rounds. The “gold standard” for this are garments rated “NIJ IIIA.” These are designed to stop even the largest pistol calibers, like the .44 Magnum.

Being shot with a .44 Mag is a terrifying prospect: This is a very large bullet designed to pack a tremendous amount of power. Hunters use .44 Magnums to kill elk and grizzly bears. Even polar bears—which weigh over 1,000 pounds and stand 10 feet tall when reared up on their hind legs—can be taken down with a .44 Mag.

Reassuringly, much of the consumer-grade soft body armor on the market—including the bulletproof hoodies seen on TV—meets NIJ IIIA standards. In fact, all of these garments rely on the exact same material as the bullet-resistant fiberglass that reinforces school walls.

But it’s important to bear in mind that although these are made of the same material, they behave very differently in the field. Soft body armor will stop many bullets. But it can never stop the force of the bullets’ impact—and is powerless against some key school safety threats.

Electric bike maintenance: how to look after your ebike

If you’re thinking about buying an electric bike, you’ll want to know how to take care of it. The best electric bikes can be expensive, so to keep yours in the best condition you’ll need to have a regime of regular maintenance. To get more news about ebike maintaince, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

This guide explains how to look after your electric bike, including tips on washing the bike, applying lubricants, regular component checks, software and app updates, and looking after the battery. If you’re not sure where to start, our beginner’s guide to electric bikes will explain the ebike basics.

The essentials of electric bike maintenance are the same whether you’re looking at an electric road bike, an electric hybrid bike or an electric folding bike.Proper maintenance, particularly of the drivetrain, is even more important if you’re riding off-road, whether that’s on an electric mountain bike or an electric gravel bike, because dirt and debris can quickly take a toll on expensive components.

An electric bike, like any bike, needs regular maintenance. Cleaning and taking care of your ebike will keep it running smoothly, efficiently and safely, all of which can contribute to a longer lifespan for the bike and its battery and motor. In many senses, electric bicycle maintenance is no different from that of a non-assisted bike. However, some components, and particularly the drivetrain (cranks, chain and sprockets), are subject to greater forces and increased wear.

Therefore, washing your ebike regularly and keeping it well maintained is of utmost importance if you want to get the most out of the bike.

First things first, a clean bike is a happy bike. Dirt and mud increase wear on components and, when mixed with water and grease, can form a paste that will, at best, decrease the efficiency of your bike and, at worst, quickly wear through consumable parts.

The smoother your electric bike runs, the more efficient it will be, and the longer your key components will last.

Keep the drivetrain clean and running well: battery life and power output are irrelevant if your gears are grinding and skipping all over the place. Riding a bike with a clean, efficient drivetrain, along with correctly adjusted gears, is ultimately a more pleasurable experience and will help you get the most from the bike in the long run.If your drivetrain looks excessively dirty (usually an accumulation of black gunk on the chain or, on electric mountain bikes in particular, mud stuck in the jockey wheels of the rear derailleur), you can give it a quick clean with a rag, or a deep clean with degreaser. We’ve got separate guides on how to clean a bike and how to clean a bike chain.

Electric bike chains tend to require more frequent lubrication than non-assisted bicycle chains. Regularly applying a quality lubricant to your chain will ensure the transmission runs efficiently. It’s a good idea to do this after every ride, and certainly after washing and drying the bike.

Otherwise, read our guide on how to choose and apply the best chain lube for your bike.

Applying lubricant to an ebike sometimes isn’t as simple as it seems. You can’t back-pedal most ebikes, so try putting the bike in a workstand (or get a friend to hold the rear wheel off the ground) so you can turn the pedals to let the lube drip onto the chain evenly.

If your bike has a ‘walk’ mode, you can engage it so that the cranks (and rear wheel) spin around slowly, allowing you to lube the chain easily. You should also regularly check your ebike’s tyre pressures. Under-inflated tyres are not only potentially dangerous, but they can also waste power and reduce efficiency, meaning you’ll get less out of a battery charge. Equally, running tyres at too high a pressure can compromise comfort and grip, especially if you’re riding off-road.

As a starting point, keep your tyres inflated to within the recommended pressures indicated on the sidewall but experiment to find the ideal pressure for you, balancing weight, comfort, grip and rolling resistance. Want to know more? We’ve got guides to road bike tyre pressure and mountain bike tyre pressure.

Black Friday Buying Guide – how To Choose a Top Fat Tire E-Bike

Electric bicycles have progressed from mere technological fascination to a mainstream form of transportation. These bikes are adaptable and may be used for various activities, including commuting, mountain biking, and long-range cycling. There are several Olympic-caliber sprinters, powerlifters, and high jumpers in electric bikes, but where are the long-distance runners? To get more news about e bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

There is a wide variety of long-distance electric bikes available now, from dual-battery to sleek super commuters. However, the most costly component of an e-bike is its battery, so the decision rapidly shifts from how far you’d like to travel to how much money you’re ready to pay. The challenge with long-distance electric bicycles is striking a middle ground between ideal riding conditions, convenience, and cost.

This balancing is more difficult than it sounds; however, with some knowledge of electrical specifications, insight into your pedaling abilities, and (as always) a realistic understanding of what you intend to use the bike for, you can confidently select a long-distance e-bike without breaking the bank.

What’s the Best Time to Buy a Long-Range E-Bike?
This year’s Black Friday is November 25th, the month’s last Friday and the day after Thanksgiving. Nonetheless, sales will begin on November 1 and climax on Thanksgiving Day, as is customary Discounts are often available until Cyber Monday, November 28, before shifting into Christmas and New Year’s sales later in the month. So bikers have about two months to seek incredible prices, with the biggest and best deals appearing near the end of November. Let’s pretend you’re reading this on November 1st.

Himiway’s 2022 Black Friday is currently available. With a staggering 15% reduction, it will be the biggest discount in the brand’s history. If you want to present a gift to a bicycling buddy, Himiway may be the most cost-effective option.

How to Calculate E-Bike Distance
Humans tend to spoil everything: Why our pedaling (or lack thereof) makes calculating e-bike range difficult. This portion can be confusing, if not downright frustrating if you’re a beginner e-biker. There is no way to predict how far a given bike, motor, and battery configuration will transport you. You may make an informed guess, but one variable in the e-bike range equation needs to be more consistent and predictable to measure accurately. You are that variable. In the end, e-bikes are still human-powered machines. Your pedaling, whether it’s light or heavy, will have a significant impact on how far your e-bike will travel. Because everyone is different, it’s impossible to predict how much the average person’s cycling will aid or hinder the bike’s performance. As a result, the e-bike range is only an informed estimation.
Manufacturers do their best to account for the human variable when calculating the range estimates they provide for e-bikes. Still, they realize they’re using averages for rider weight, pedaling, and terrain type. To the manufacturers’ credit, we rarely test bikes that significantly outperform or underperform those published range estimates, so they must be doing something well.

Himiway electric bikes are the best for long-distance commuting, pedaling, and cycling. Their electric fat tire bikes can traverse on all terrains with a Samsung battery that is super-powerul and can travel over 60-80 miles when fully charged.
How to Select a Long-Range Electric Bike for Black Friday?
You need to ask yourself, aside from going fast, what do you want this bike to do? The most difficult equation element is defining what we want from the bike while remaining reasonable. Here’s an example of what you should search for in your next long-distance commuter. You would like the bike to travel 50 miles on a single charge. The bike should easily average 19-21 mph, allowing a 20-mile ride to take about an hour each way.

Other factors to consider include weight, cargo capacity, and financial constraints, but distance and average speed are the two most significant for our needs. Remember to keep your intended range sensible and functional. The more you wish to travel on a single charge, the more you’ll probably pay.
