The best smart locks you can buy right now

Asmart lock is an easy solution to a lot of common problems. Locked yourself out? Forgot your cleaning service is coming today? Your latchkey kid lost their key? Other half always forgets to lock the door? Hands are full, and it’s raining cats and dogs? A smart lock solves all these problems and more. To get more news about wifi security lock, you can visit securamsys.com official website.

By giving you remote control over your front door from anywhere as well as easy, key-free ways to unlock your door lock, a smart lock is one of the best smart home upgrades you can make. It can also be more secure than a traditional lock, especially if you are someone that would otherwise leave a spare key under a flower pot.

One of my personal favorite features of a smart lock is integrating it into a smart home routine so that every night at 9PM, my doors lock, or if I say “Good night” to a smart assistant, it shuts the lights off, makes sure the doors are locked, and adjusts my thermostat to Sleep mode.Other important smart lock features are decent battery life (spoiler alert: this is hard to find); at least three different ways to unlock (app, keypad or fingerprint, physical key, and auto-unlock are my favorites); and connectivity that doesn’t require a dedicated hub.

The latter is key for controlling your lock when you’re away from home — another feature I find super useful about smart locks. While all the locks listed here have the option to assign codes to service people or a neighbor looking in on your dog, sometimes it’s just easier to unlock the door for them and then lock it when they leave, even if you’re 2,000 miles away.
The Yale Assure Lock 2 is an inexpensive, good-looking keypad lock that works with every smart home platform. The slimline design (both front and back), wide compatibility, easy-to-use app, and good selection of unlocking options make it my top pick by a long shot.

If you plan to use the Assure 2 lock with Alexa or Google Assistant, though, it’s worth waiting for Yale’s Matter over Thread module to arrive later this year instead of paying for the Wi-Fi version now. That module should be a quicker, more battery-efficient way to add Alexa and Google support to the Yale Assure 2; I will test it when it’s available and report back. A Z-Wave module is also coming soon for the Yale Assure 2 to add compatibility with SmartThings hubs, Ring Alarm, and other Z-Wave hubs.

The August Wi-Fi Smart Lock is an elegant, retrofit door lock that replaces just your thumb turn. You keep your deadbolt, key cylinder, and lock exterior, so you can still use your existing keys, and your door looks the same from the outside.

The August lock is pricey for a retrofit lock, but it feels premium, thanks to an all-metal design. With its compact size, it doesn’t stick out too much on the inside of your door, and it’s attractive enough not to be an eyesore.

If you don’t care about smart home integration or would prefer a lock without it, the Wyze Lock Bolt is an excellent value. It’s not sleek or stylish; it’s just a big hunk of black plastic. It doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi or integrate with any smart home systems (not even with Wyze’s own gadgets). But it does have an easy-to-use, backlit keypad and a lightning-fast fingerprint reader, it’ll auto-lock if you want, and it’s half the price of the Yale Assure Lock 2.

But without Wi-Fi, I couldn’t check on it or control it when I was away from home, so turning on the auto-lock option is a must. If I wanted to let someone in while I was gone, though, I could give them an offline code that’s generated in the Wyze app. This uses similar technology to two-factor authentication codes to generate a code even when you’re out of range of the lock, and it worked perfectly in my testing.

This funky looking, retrofit smart lock is for anyone who can’t or does not want to mess with their existing door lock in any way, shape, or form. Essentially a tiny robot hand that unlocks your door, the $99 SwitchBot lock goes over a deadbolt’s existing thumb turn and sticks to the door with super-strength double-sided tape. You can then lock or unlock it over Bluetooth from a phone or Apple Watch or use the existing key. It is not an elegant solution, but it works, and it’s the easiest smart lock I’ve installed, taking under five minutes to get set up.

NEW FREE APP RELEASED: CAD BLOCK REMAPPER!

As this is a special day here at Bird Tools as well (obviously), we wanted it to be a milestone by releasing our latest FREE add-in, CAD Block Remapper! To get more news about cad blocks download, you can visit shine news official website.
In fact, this app is everything but new here, as we've developed it back in 2018 and were about to release it twice in 2019 and exactly a year ago, but had to postpone that due to the extremely tight schedule we have with ongoing custom development jobs.
CAD Block Remapper is a FREE app by Bird Tools, that is both an AutoCAD and a Revit add-in: It allows the user to map families to linked CAD Blocks, and would place the family instances on their correct locations.
No CAD import, nor Import Explosion are involved in the process, only CAD linking, as the CAD files are automatically processed by the AutoCAD add-in part of the app.

It supports both hosted and non hosted families, and can host families on both the nearest ceiling and the nearest wall, with an option to specify vertical offsets

You can download the version 0.5 below for free. The app is still at a Beta stage, and we are looking forward to your feedback to make it even better! Do not hesitate to contact us at any time!

Robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) is an emerging trend in manufacturing. Rising labor shortages, competitive global markets, and automation are changing traditional business models. Whether it’s a short-term need, companies wanting to try before they buy, forgoing a capital expenditure (CAPEX), or lowering the cost of entry to robotic automation, RaaS can be useful for companies. RaaS provides robots on demand, when and where needed. To get more news about Robotics as a Service, you can visit glprobotics.com official website.

More users are seeking flexible automation implementations. More suppliers are offering rental and leasing options to satisfy the demand. Some are mature companies answering the call; others are manufacturing industry startups. This is a major turnaround from even several years ago when the manufacturing industry was wary of the idea of cage-free robots rubbing elbows with human coworkers. Now every major robot manufacturer has a collaborative robot on its roster, and a slew of startups add more options.
On-demand robots
Out-of-the-box offerings like the TaskMate by Ready Robotics, which are easy to use and easy to deploy, are among RaaS options. (Ed. note: The TaskMate’s name was changed to Forge/Station in early 2019, after this article was originally published).

“The TaskMate is a ready-to-use, on-demand robot worker that is specifically designed to come out of its shipping crate ready to be deployed to the production line,” said Ready Robotics CEO Ben Gibbs, noting manufacturers without the time to undertake custom robot integration are looking for out-of-the box automation. Rental options make the foray easier.

“Time is their most precious resource,” Gibbs said. “They may have to do a little fixturing or put together a parts presentation hopper. Besides that, it’s something they can deploy pretty quickly. We’re driving towards providing a solution that’s as easy to use as your personal computer.”

The system consists of a collaborative robot arm mounted on a stand with casters, so it can be wheeled into position on the production floor. The ease of portability suits high-mix, low-volume production where it can be relocated to different manufacturing cells. Two varieties each have robot arms, equipped with a force sensor and a universal interface that allows different robot grippers to be hot-swapped onto the end of the arm.

Contributing to the system is the proprietary operating system, the Forge operating system (OS) software. A simple flowchart interface (pictured) controls the robot arm, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) and other peripherals. No coding is required. Running the Forge/OS software, the controller provides the same easy programming interface but is designed as a standalone system for other robots.
Cloud robotics and RaaS
A common element in the RaaS rental model is cloud robotics. Ready offers customers the ability to remotely monitor its robotic system or others connected to its controller.

“We can set them up with alerts, so when the production cycle is completed or the robot enters an unexpected error state, they can receive an email notifying the floor manager or line operator to check the system,” Gibbs said.

Users also can save and back up programs to the cloud, and deploy them from one robot to another. If an operator inadvertently lost a program, they could drop the backup version from the cloud onto the system and be up and running again in minutes.

“We provide a menu to our customers of how they might want to consume our products and services,” Gibbs said, including traditional CapEx (capital expenditure) purchase or “they can rent the system with no contract for however long or short of a duration they want.”

For an additional charge, the company can manage the entire asset.

“We set it up, we program it, and we remotely monitor it to make sure it’s maximizing its uptime. We can come in and tweak the program if it’s running into unexpected errors.” The systems have cell modems for remote software updates.” We handle all of the maintenance, or it’s handled by our channel partners.”

Images showed two protest banners on a bridge in the north-west of the city. The protest appeared to have been swiftly stopped by the authorities. To get more china news today, you can visit shine news official website.

Frustration has been mounting in the capital before the congress. There has been an outpouring of anger online at strict security measures and the Covid restrictions put in place.

Authorities have tightened access to the city, shutting out many travellers, returning residents and deliveries. Others had their movement restricted or were forced to quarantine.

The images and footage of the protest that have been circulating showed two large banners unfurled on a bridge in Beijing's Haidian district. One read: "No Covid test, we want to eat. No restrictions, we want freedom. No lies, we want dignity. No Cultural Revolution, we want reform. No leaders, we want votes. By not being slaves, we can be citizens."

The other called on residents to "go on strike at school and work, remove dictator and national traitor Xi Jinping".Video from the scene showed unexplained thick plumes of smoke on the bridge and a man could be heard chanting slogans into a loudhailer.

A BBC team visit to the scene later found no trace of it, but there was a visible police presence in the area.

The week-long 20th Party Congress, due to kick off on Sunday, will see about 2,300 top officials and party delegates descend upon the capital.

China's leader Xi Jinping is expected to be handed a third term, breaking decades-long tradition and shoring up his already firm grip on power. The capital usually sees strict security measures in the lead-up to important events. Street-level security has been strengthened with paramilitary police patrolling subway stations and neighbourhoods near the Great Hall of the People where the congress will take place.

Authorities are cracking down on the use of virtual private networks circumventing China's firewalls, to restrict access to the internet beyond Communist Party control.

But in an attempt to stamp out small Covid outbreaks in Beijing as the congress nears, city authorities are enforcing much stricter measures than most other parts of China.Tens of millions of residents are being tested every three days, with screenings for entry to all buildings enforced and mask-wearing mandates policed.

Officials have also heavily restricted the number of people entering the city and discouraged residents from leaving.

Many people who travelled to other cities during a recent National Day holiday found that their online health codes - essential for travel around the country - suddenly indicated they were at risk of Covid infection, preventing them from getting on trains or flights back to Beijing.

Others who managed to return to Beijing saw a similar change in their health codes days after returning, according to online accounts, forcing them to quarantine at home.

"I don't understand why Beijing did this... I can't go to work. I'm about to lose my job. I'm so frustrated. When is it going to end?" said one commenter on Weibo, while another added: "We suffer all these just because someone has to hold a meeting."

"Why torment the ordinary people? The authorities have implemented their policy unreasonably. Their credibility is down the drain. How could people trust them?" asked another. It comes amid a growing fatigue among ordinary Chinese with the "zero Covid" strategy that has seen harsh lockdowns and quarantine measures, long after other countries have eased restrictions.

Female Sex Toys Are Trying Too Hard

I received a sex toy in the mail (~*CoSmO pERks*~) recently that had six attachments for the head, which was also a vibrator. Part of me wanted to view this sex kit in the same way I would've when I was a kid and I got an action figure that came with a bunch of cool accessories, but the other part of me was like, "Ugh, I have to put it together? Also, this looks like a medieval torture device and I don't really need to have an old-fashioned knight near my clitoris."To get more news about 国语一级毛片私人影院, you can visit our official website.

Sex shops are filled with similarly complex vibrators like an electric-stimulation fingertip vibrator that sends out tiny electric shocks via energized nodes (which I was way too terrified to put on my actual vagina but I'm sure it's lovely?) and a partner vibrator that you have to put inside you while a penis is also inside you, which is just too many vagina-inserted things.

Before you can say things like, "But it's really hard for a lot of women to come and they need to be able to try anything and everything to find something that works," let me tell you, I fully agree.
If using a vibrator attachment that looks like something a caveman would throw at a lion to get it to die works for you and makes you come, I'm all about it, but I also keep wondering if we've gotten too far away from what works in a mad attempt to solve the female orgasm deficit without simply asking women what they want.

While I did try the seemingly endless attachments, ultimately it didn't feel any different than a regular vibrator and cost about the same as a high-end vibrator would (which, by the way, I've had experiences with $10 Amazon vibrators that didn't seem to be any worse than the $199 six-attachment Why Is This So Complex Pro 200). If anything, the fancier one was even less effective because it made so many promises of being Next Level that it couldn't possibly live up to. (And, as I'm sure you know, good sex is at least 60 percent accurate expectations.) When you see something in the store called The Exonerator that comes with five attachments (including a confounding brush attachment so you can feel like your clitoris is going through the car wash) and a wall mount, you expect it to not only be better than your standard Hitachi Magic Wand situation but also to turn you into a sex werewolf howling at the moon. Anything less just seems like a ruse.

I've also tried a vibrator that claimed to replicate oral sex, which I was hyped about and definitely did something down there, but mostly just felt like a robot awkwardly moving around my vulva, which is not something I list under "turn-ons." One thing I've noticed about a lot of these Next Level vibrators is that they often spend so much time trying to look like they're from a Zenon: Girl Of The 21st Century episode that they forgot that an obvious majority of women need direct clitoral stimulation, period. Amongst all of their appendages, most of these offer tepid, general vibrations at best, leaving you feeling vaguely like a crazy person when you turn it up to the highest level and it still isn't that great.

As sex toys evolve into the mainstream

In the run-up to the Winter Olympics in February, U.S. curlers were competing for a spot in the competition. NBC even planned to broadcast or stream every mixed-doubles game at a qualification event in the Netherlands. But the peacock network changed its mind. In a Dec. 6 tweet, USA Curling, the sport's governing body, cited "an unforeseen sponsorship conflict with the local organizing committee." The reason: The name of erotic product seller "EasyToys" appeared on the ice (though without its "better toys, greater joys" tagline). To get more news about 黄色视频在线免费观看, you can visit our official website.

This is just one of the latest examples of the stigma toward the adult toy industry. But business is booming: In 2019, the global market size reached $28.6 billion, almost a third of the size of the children's toy market, according to Statista. In fact, the sale of adult products skyrocketed during the pandemic. About 1 in 10 adults purchased toys in anticipation of self-quarantine, according to the 2020 self-pleasure survey of 1,000 U.S. men and women by TENGA, a sexual wellness products manufacturer. Seven in 10 respondents agreed "sexual pleasure helped them feel better or acted as a form of ‘self-care.'" In September 2021, the International Organization for Standardization introduced the first set of regulations for sex toys - a sign of "legitimacy," said Hallie Lieberman, historian and author of "Buzz: The Stimulating History of the Sex Toy."

The story of the Magic Wand reflects the industry's slow move to the mainstream. For over 50 years, the vibrator has topped the sex toy charts. Some still refer to it as the Hitachi Magic Wand, but the company, which also manufactures escalators and nuclear reactors, dropped its name from the product in 2013. At the time, the creators didn't directly acknowledge the device's most popular usage. They recommended the wand "whether you are looking to soothe an aching shoulder or want a more ‘personal' massage experience." In 2017, the homepage finally added the term "sex toy."

With greater acceptance came a reckoning over the industry's problem with toxic materials. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Consumer Product Safety Commission don't regulate sex toys, as they don't consider them medical devices, so data on the extent of toxins present in sex toys isn't available. Many older toys contain polyvinyl chloride, a thermoplastic commonly used in pipes and shower curtains. To make PVC dildos softer and more flexible, manufacturers would add plasticizers, typically some type of phthalates, which are known to be hormone (endocrine) system-disrupting chemicals, according to Amanda Morgan, associate professor-in-residence at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, School of Public Health. These "jelly" toys are still sold on Amazon for under $20.

A PVC dildo poses issues beyond just harmful phthalates. "Because of the very high amount of chlorine over time, with oxidation, exposure, heat, use, exposure to other things, it will create its own hydrochloric acid and start to disintegrate itself," Morgan said. The disintegration presents as a greasy or oily residue on the product after just months of storage or use.

Today, the product safety for sex toys "has improved exponentially," Morgan said. "We've seen a lot of these companies really take body-safe materials more seriously and are using that as part of their marketing as well." This includes more products using medical-grade silicone. The ISO now restricts the use of phthalates and lead, and requires manufacturers to avoid designs with sharp edges. They must also add easy-to-remove features, such as loops on the end of a toy that a medical professional can grab with forceps in case of an overly deep insertion. And brands must provide clear information on cleaning and disposal.

ISO's new standards, developed in collaboration with major adult product brands such as We-Vibe, are voluntary. Companies that comply can display a label saying so. The fear: "That if we started talking about regulating sex toys (in the U.S.), and how they're to be manufactured, that they would be regulated out of existence," Morgan said. Precedent for adult product restrictions exists: Alabama still criminalizes the sale of sex toys (except as novelty items, a loophole exploited by sellers in the state).

Besides body safety, other aspects of adult sexuality products have gotten better, especially in the past five years. "There's a better eye for accessibility in toys," said Alex, a sex educator, Effing Foundation for Sex-Positivity advisory council member and author of the Sugarcunt Writes blog, who asked that their last name not be used. "There are more products that can accommodate fat bodies too." For transgender and non-binary people, "there's more cool shit," they said. And some sellers have removed gender labels from their products

Molly, a 27-year-old scientist who identifies on the asexual spectrum and asked her last name not be used so she could speak openly, describes her first vibrator as chocolate chip-shaped and colored bright purple and yellow. "It didn't feel invasive. It was very not phallic, which is something that I'm not into," she said. Iroha by TENGA manufactured Molly's product with that precise mission in mind. "We have tried to kind of create those shapes, not intimidating, not phallus-shaped, that are very squishy and soft. And perfect for beginners," said Marie Aoyama, member of the TENGA global marketing department.

News reporter comes out as a transgender woman on live TV

Coming out is a stressful situation for people from the LGBTQIA+ community. Even though it remains a personal choice whether anybody wants to come out publicly, those who choose to do so face unprecedented pressure and a fear for their own safety. A trans woman recently came out on national television and tried to conquer these fears publicly. Nora J.S. Reichardt has worked at Local 5 News for more than a year and decided to come out on television, reports PEOPLE. She was with her fellow broadcaster Eva Andersen when she decided to talk about her gender identity. The 24-year-old reporter said, "I didn't know if there was a place and a space for me to do this sort of work that I've really come to love and enjoy, while also getting to be myself while I do it."To get more news about 在线欧美精品一区二区三区, you can visit our official website.

The Des Moines resident added, "To gradually come into a role where I am feeling more and more at home in my body than I really ever did before has been amazing to get to experience and share with people." Nora started transitioning a year ago but "had some thoughts in that direction" since she was a teenager. She grew up in a rural area in Hanover, Minnesota, and "didn't even have the language to describe what I was feeling." Several trans people go through this dilemma due to a lack of credible resources on gender that talks about identity beyond societal stereotypes.

"Especially early on, it's hard to place that sense of wrongness - like I'm a person who's wearing my body, and not a person who's living in it," Nora continued. "I thought I was just depressed, I thought I was just anxious. And I've had those feelings almost as long as I can remember." Even after coming to the city and starting working at Local 5 News she always thought she is playing "dress-up" and pretending to be someone she is not. She added, "A while after I started being on air, I kind of just reached a personal breaking point where I thought, 'Why don't I like the person that I am seeing every time I am going out in the field? Why don't I connect with that person? Why don't I want to be that person?' "

Nora said that it was only after starting therapy that she found happiness. She started to come to terms with her gender identity and understood that gender is not limited to what we are assigned at birth. Nora said, "There's beauty in this process. And I wish that got discussed more. Especially among people who are cis and don't find themselves as familiar with it. What I find is learning to love my body, love me, and just the way I want to live my life, it's the best act of self-actualization that I could ever imagine."

She later took to Facebook to explain why she wanted to publicly share her story. The reporter wrote in the post that she has been absent from nightly news for weeks as she was preparing to make this public announcement. She added that her "Des Moines social circles" knew about her transition and she wanted to announce it publicly. "I didn't want to keep disguising myself at work."

"I avoided confronting my gender identity out of fear. Fear of what would happen to my career as a TV reporter. Fear of losing friends and family by coming out. Fear for my own personal safety and well-being." She realized that the feeling of depression and anxiety she faced was in fact gender dysphoria. "It's a hard sensation to describe - feeling totally disconnected from your own body, as if it's not your own-but it was making me miserable," she added.
