The problem with revisiting somewhere familiar after a long absence, is that your memory has become crystalised. To you, this place will always look like it did in the final moments you spent there, sealed off from the passage of time. The fading paint, the creaky chair, the doors unlocked, the garden landscaped. This was a valid concern for those returning to the vanilla World of Warcraft presented in WoW: Classic. Azeroth has been through cataclysm and upheaval since its inception. To revisit it in its earliest days risks making the colourful ever-changing world feel like an interactive museum exhibit. But Blizzard are taking care to replicate the patch-by-patch experience of what it was like to live through the highs and lows of the genre’s monolith. To get more news about buy wow gold, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

Speaking with Eurogamer recently, lead software engineer Ryan Birmingham was asked about the four phases of content planned for Classic’s release. “I'm glad you asked,” he responded. “It is no longer four phases, it is six.”

As someone who has played the game since 2005, hearing that we would be not just revisit vanilla, but relive it, was a significant shift in my perspective of what WoW Classic would be. Sure, it was always going to be interesting on a base level, but beyond that, would it really be worth logging in again and again? Could you really keep all the players with a single moment, frozen in time? As both a player and someone who has worked in the industry, I’d say no. You couldn’t. But Blizzard went further than this.
World of Warcraft’s biggest strength wasn’t just that your environments would change over the course of your journey, it was that your character world evolve, too. During a later expansion, I saw a warrior log into Orgrimmar, the orc capital city. He, a colossal Tauren, stood in a complete set of Tier 3 Dreadnought Armor, so I knew he had endlessly crunched his way through the vast, evil halls of Naxxaramas. This grand minotaur sat astride a giant bug, black chitin plates shifting in the sun. A mount he could’ve only acquired by being the first (or at least one of the first) to slam his scepter into an ancient gong, and open the doors to Ahn’Qiraj, after the entire population of the server had contributed hundreds of thousands of resources and endless hours to the task.

Yet over time, WoW saw transmogrification introduced, the ability to make any weapon or piece of armour look like so many others. The significance of armor sets started to wear off. The prestige of those Dreadnought plates was worn away. In Classic, gear becomes important again, even if it’s just enviously side-eyeing someone standing around in full Bloodfang leather as you lumber your mishmash jumble of multicolored nonsense through the journey to level 60.

Onyxia, Broodmother of the Black Dragonflight. If you're a veteran World Of Warcraft player, that name will immediately conjure long-buried feelings of dread - from the precision play needed to take her down, to the hours spent grinding quests to even enter her lair. But Azeroth's scariest dragon seems to have lost her touch, as a band of 40 World Of Warcraft: Classic adventurers worked out how to fell Onyxia in nought but their undies earlier this week.To get more news about buy WoW items, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

As reported by the folks over at PC Gamer, the naked act of lizard matricide took place earlier this month on the European Zandalar Tribe server. Players allegedly came from a smattering of guilds, to strip off and work out just how to take down one of Warcraft's most notorious bosses.
It's not that Onyxia isn't numerically less intimidating than before, mind. From a stats perspective, she should be just as tough a fight as she was 16 years ago. Instead, fan repository Wowhead revealed that a good deal of theorycrafting went into the fight. For a start, the raid consisted of a hell of a lotta frost mages. Casters aren't nearly as affected by losing their weapons as melee fighters, the thinking goes - and it helps for a later phase that seems Onyxia take flight.

A few melee fighters (mostly Paladins) jump in to provide buffs, with one poor naked sod tasked with tanking the Dragon's aggression without their usual suit of plate. There's a staggering precision to the way buffs are distributed, potions consumed, and spells paced out to ensure that nobody unintentionally nicks aggro off the main tank - though there's an awfully close call early on in the fight.

It's been a long time since Onyxia was a threatening presence in WoW proper. Hell, I've even popped in to bop her with a fireball on my grossly overlevelled main once or twice. But if WoW Classic gave the impression that she might once more bring fear to adventurer's hearts, it's been heartily crushed by a nudist murder brigade.

Blizzard's launch of World of Warcraft Classic was one of the rare wins for the company in recent years, which have been filled with controversies and outright terrible moves that alienated the fan base. The latest news about Classic may scare some of the fans as well but it's important to remember this might end up just being a scare and not something bad that is guaranteed to happen. To get more news about safe wow gold, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

Namely, World of Warcraft Classic is getting the Token system which the players can use to purchase monthly subscription to the game. The reason why the fans might be reluctant to have it in Classic is that the Tokens can be purchased for real life currency and sold on Auction House for in-game monetary gain.

Combined with the fact that those who enjoy WoW Classic are in it for the feeling of enjoying the game as it used to be back in the glory days of vanilla, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, having the Tokens appear and ruin in-game economy would be disastrous.

However, the Tokens have been announced only for China and since the region has its own client, it will not directly interfere with the experience of the western players. At the time of writing, Blizzard did not confirm nor deny the potential possibility of adding Token to WoW Classic in other regions and considering that the players are highly unlikely to enjoy its addition in the west, there is still a chance the company will not go down this road.

World Of Warcraft Classic is here to stay. Good job, everyone. We've successfully avoided dealing with 2019 by hiding inside a 15-year-old MMORPG. But Warcraft didn't get those terrible Mr T commercials by staying put, and even its retro throwback must evolve or perish. With that in mind, Blizzard are ready to roll out the next phase of Classic's rebirth. Phase 2 of Classic is ready to roll out, bringing honour-bound PVP points, a new (old) dungeon and two frightful world bosses into the fray. But only once Classic's realms put their dimensional splinters back together. To get more news about buy wow gold eu, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

Speaking to PC Gamer, game director Ian Hazzikostas revealed that the second of Classic's six phases is due to arrive before the end of the year. That means there are less than three months to wait for a new dungeon, two new roaming bosses and an overhaul to wager war in the wilds.

Looking for a new adventure to fill the final torturous hours to level 60? Phase 2's biggest addition is Dire Maul, a labyrinthine elven fortress in the depths of Feralas. Recommended for players levelling through their mid-late 50s Dire Maul is a proper maze of a late-game dungeon full of killer trees and ornery ogres.PvP is also about to get a whole lot more complicated. For now, players might've just ganked you be malicious. But there'll soon be a material incentive to pick fights with strangers. The Honor system and all its rewards arrive in Classic Phase 2. Fighting honourably nets you points, letting you climb the ranks of Horde or Alliance.

Eventually, you might even gain access to locked buildings in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, quartermasters offering bounties of swish new outfits and weapons. Of course, dishonourable combat will harshly decrease your honour, possibly keeping you out of these rewards for good.

Phase 2 also reintroduces the world bosses Kazzak and Azuregos, which is in part why Blizzard have been holding off on dropping the update. Layering - the crafty server-fiddling tech that tried to stop servers from overflowing - would've been pretty easy to exploit to make sure the right boss is in the right place in the right time.

It sounds at first like an April Fool's gag: "game studio announces that you'll soon be able to relive the nostalgia of playing their most popular title in its original form, back before they patched it to be less frustrating and look better." Yet that's for all intents and purposes what Blizzard is offering World of Warcraft players with its WoW Classic service -- the stripped down, unforgiving game that originally launched 15 years ago, rendered in all its chunky-looking glory -- and at least for the moment, it seems to be making pretty serious waves in the gaming community. To get more news about buy wow tbc gold, you can visit lootwowgold official website.

It's hard to say how much effort was actually required on Blizzard's part to get WoW Classic up and running, but I suspect it was a bit more than the "just dig the old code off a backup drive somewhere" procedure many consumers will be imagining. Nonetheless, for the amount of buzz it's created around World of Warcraft, it's undoubtedly been time and effort well spent.

Now, I'll confess that the buzz is a little lost on me personally. It's not that I didn't dump countless months of my life into WoW like all the rest of you -- to this day I think part of my reticence to invest in a gaming PC is my recollection of how easily I slipped into a pretty hardcore WoW habit. Rather, it's that WoW didn't really come into its own for me until sometime around Wrath of the Lich King, so the outpouring of affection for earlier iterations of the game goes right over my head. I guess I've always been a Filthy Casual at heart.

Nonetheless, it's fascinating the see how much attention and demand Blizzard has generated for WoW Classic. This is something genuinely new for the industry. We've become accustomed to the enthusiasm that greets updates and re-releases of retro titles, most notably in the form of miniature retro consoles loaded with classic games, but WoW Classic is something quite different. A stripped-down retro re-release of a game that actually still has a very popular live service right now. WoW isn't a retro game -- it's a current, regularly updated and widely played game -- yet it's clear that a substantial number of consumers see an earlier iteration of that live service as being something different enough to qualify as an exciting retro re-release.

Aside from what this says about the accelerating cycles of "retro" gaming (WoW itself only launched back in 2004), the success of WoW Classic, whether it be long-term or merely flash-in-the-pan nostalgia, stands as strong evidence of something else as well -- namely how much of the industry's cultural history is being washed away every single month by the proliferation of live service games, and the lack of a clearly defined or well-implemented strategy or rulebook for archiving them.

U.S. News & World Report has released its eighth annual ranking of online programs in higher education to help those interested in furthering their education navigate the growing number of bachelor’s and master’s degrees offered online. For online bachelor’s degree programs, Ohio State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, and University of Illinois topped the list.To get more news about Master's degress program, you can visit acem.sjtu.edu.cn official website.

In the United States, one third of all college students — 6.5 million people — enrolled in at least one online class at a postsecondary institution, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. And with colleges and universities launching more online programs to meet demand, U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 1,600 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs to give prospective students the ability to compare schools on factors such as tuition rates, time commitment and area of study.

“Prospective students now have a lot of options when choosing an online undergraduate or graduate program,” said Anita Narayan, managing editor of Education at U.S. News. “For people looking for more flexibility as they pursue their higher education goals, U.S. News has information on relevant factors like accreditation, graduation rates and student support services.”

Illinois’ Rush University’s online master’s in nursing received the number one ranking for nursing programs. For online MBAs, Indiana University, Bloomington and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, tie for No. 1, while the University of Southern California remains at the top for computer information technology master’s programs.

Online courses offer students greater access to education regardless of where they live or other commitments they may have, according to a report from the Brookings Institution, and have the potential to redefine educational opportunities for non-traditional learners. Online platforms can also be personalized to fit students’ needs, potentially improving education quality.

Hundreds of Indian Twitter accounts including those belonging to news websites, activists and actors were suspended for more than 12 hours on Monday after the government said users were posting content inciting violence. To get more twitter news, you can visit shine news official website.

The move came in the wake of weeks-long protests by Indian farmers against a new farm bill. The protests turned violent last week when riot police were sent in. One demonstrator was killed and hundreds of people were injured including police officers.

An Indian government official said the home affairs ministry had demanded the suspension of “close to 250 Twitter accounts” that were allegedly posting content seeking to foment violence.“The order was issued against accounts that were using the hashtag that started on 30 January,” the government source said.

Those blocked – including the investigative news site Caravan India, the political commentator Sanjukta Basu, the activist Hansraj Meena, the actor Sushant Singh, and the chief executive of the state-run broadcaster Prasar Bharti, Shashi Shekhar Vempati – were silenced inside India without warning and with little explanation, their pages carrying only the message “account has been withheld in India in response to a legal demand”.

Also blocked were two popular accounts linked to the farmers’ protests: Kisan Ekta Morcha .There was no public explanation or detail of the legal demand from the government. The accounts were still visible outside India and were restored inside the country late on Monday after about 12 hours offline.

Since November tens of thousands of Indian farmers have staged a protest camp at Ghazipur, on the outskirts of the capital, Delhi, demanding the repeal of agriculture laws that would loosen rules around sale, pricing and storage of farm produce. The rules have insulated Indian farmers from the free market for decades. Farmers argue the reforms will leave them at the mercy of large agriculture corporations and destroy millions of families’ livelihoods.Narendra Modi’s government denies this, saying the reforms open up new opportunities for farmers to sell their produce directly to private buyers.

The protests have been one of the most serious challenges to the authority of Modi’s government. Farmers make up almost half of India’s workforce.

A Twitter statement on “country-withheld content” said suspensions of accounts or content was routine, arguing “many countries have laws that may apply to tweets and Twitter account content”.“If we receive a properly scoped request from an authorised entity, it may be necessary to withhold access to certain content in a particular country from time to time.”

Chinese fintech giant Ant Group was expected to make its trading debut in Hong Kong and Shanghai on Thursday at a valuation of roughly $310 billion in the world's largest-ever IPO. The debut would have made the company more valuable than each of China's four major state-owned banks, according to Fortune’s 2020 Global 500 ranking. To get more news about ant finance, you can visit shine news official website.

On Tuesday, just two days before the planned listing, regulators in Shanghai pulled the plug, at least temporarily.

The Shanghai exchange told Ant in a notice that changes in financial technology regulatory requirements and other "major issues" meant the company didn't meet the requirements needed to list on its exchange. The news sent shockwaves through the financial world, and came as a surprise to Ant. Just hours before the suspension, the company was still confirming attendees for its planned post-IPO party in Hong Kong, according to Bloomberg.

Subscribe to Eastworld for weekly insight on what’s dominating business in Asia, delivered free to your inbox.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ant apologized to its investors and said it would "wait for further notice" from the Shanghai stock exchange before making any further announcements on the status of the IPO. It delayed its planned listing in Hong Kong too. Ant did not respond to Fortune's request for comment.

The news throws a wrench in the prospects of Chinese tech firms looking to raise capital. For months now, overseas exchanges have grown increasingly inhospitable for Chinese firms, and markets closers to home—Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong—have seemed to offer solace. But the mounting problems for Ant offer a sober reminder to Chinese companies that their home turf has its own special set of risks.
